Just happened to look at my Facebook this morning and guess what? There was a picture of my cushion knitting pattern being feature in Craftsy.
This cushion reminds me of sunny days walking in the countryside.
50 gram ball DK yarn – light green
50 gram ball DK yarn – light blue
Small amounts of DK yarn in light brown, dark brown, dark green, emerald, white and black
Small amount of Sirdar Snuggly Chunky yarn in white for the Sheep and Clouds.
Suitable for a 40 x 40 cm cushion
The cushion is knitted in one piece starting off from half way at the back with stripes, then knitting from the Intarsia Chart, finishing the other half of the back with stripes and buttonholes.
The Sheep and Clouds are knitted with Sirdar Snuggly Chunky yarn which gives them a fluffy 3D effect.
I used the following yarns:
Sirdar Country Style DK and Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK
50 gram ball DK yarn – light green (Apples)
50 gram ball DK yarn – light blue (Periwinkle)
50 gram ball DK yarn – White
Small amounts of:
DK yarn – light brown (Honey), dark brown (Chocolate 947), dark green (Village Green), emerald green (Emerald 916), black
Small amount of Sirdar Snuggly Chunky yarn in White for Sheep and Clouds
If you already have DK yarns in similar colours to the above they could be used as long as they match the gauge 22 sts and 28 rows to 4″ (10 cm) over stocking stitch
Alternative ranges of yarns that could also be used are:
Rowan Pure Wool DK
Rico Essentials Merino DK
