I was totally blown away by the colours of the plants at Monet’s Gardens in Giverny, France. We went in the first week of June – caught the ferry from the UK and drove down. We spent 2 weeks travelling around and visited quite a few gardens and, by far the most spectacular, was Monet’s Gardens.
For that time of the year the Irises and Roses were in full bloom and the irises in particular were incredible – lots of different sizes and they stood so tall.
This image has inspired me to design my Iris Cushion
The cushion is knitted as one piece in Stockinette Stitch in Double Knitting yarn and the pattern provides a coloured chart to follow for the iris. There is a 4 button opening at the back.
This would make a lovely gift for someone who loves their plants and gardens.
